White Pearl Resort is situated on the southern coast of Mozambique, in the Ponta Mamoli area. The private beach resort looks out on a long stretch of pristine beach which gives access to great swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving experiences. The area is also very well known for the dolphin interaction experiences in the southern coastal waters of Mozambique.
There are 22 luxurious Pool Suites, all set on timber stilts so as to protect the fragile Eco systems surrounding the rooms. Each Pool Suite offers all the creature comforts needed to make a memorable stay. From en suite bathroom facilities, a outdoor shower and air-conditioned bedroom to the spacious covered deck with plunge pool.
Alternatively guests can enjoy magnificent views from one of the many guest areas around the Resort. The Pool deck features four poster day beds to while away the hours with a good book, or enjoy a light snack and refreshing drink from the Beach Bar or a cocktail from the Pool Bar.
White Pearl Resorts offers its guests a large variety of activities on land and in the sea. The eight most popular activities are deep sea fishing, horse riding, sea kayaking, scuba diving, snorkelling and swimming with dolphins, viewing sea turtles nesting and the eggs hatching, walking on the idyllic beach or enjoying a relaxing massage treatment.
What is Special?
The lodge offers stylish and luxurious accommodation - the only one of its kind in the south of Mozambique. A highlight activity has to be the Swimming with Dolphins - its is a rare and special experience to swim nearby the wild Bottle-nose dolphins. The lodge is licensed to take a maximum of eight guests on this special outing. Interaction with the dolphins is strictly monitored and controlled in line with conservation guidelines.
The closest airport is the Maputo International Airport. From there light aircraft transfer flights to and from the Resort can be booked. The flight duration is 45 minutes followed by a 45 minute 4x4 road transfer from the airstrip to the property. The Resort can only be accessed by 4x4 vehicles as the roads in southern Mozambique are mostly thick sand roads. Transfers from Maputo can be arranged by 4x4 but are very long (anything from 2.5 - 5 hours depending on road conditions at the time).
Alternatively, guests can reach the Resort from the Kosi Bay border post. It is possible to leave a rental car at the border post at a secure parking area (costs for own account) whilst the Resort collects clients with a 4x4 vehicle. Alternatively guests can self drive with their own 4x4 from the border post, the drive is approximately 1 - 1.5 hours.
