After much anticipation, 1Time Airline - a South African budget carrier - has announced that they will commence flights between Johannesburg and Maputo as of the 12th of August 2010.  The carrier will be offering fares that are far below that being offered by SAA and LAM on the same route, starting from just ZAR 1 289 per person for a return flight.  Their fares are almost 50% cheaper than the current offering from SAA and LAM and we are hopeful that the new competition on the route will motivate the other carriers to review their fares.

1Time will have flights operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
